Forbes Hall LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales with registered number OC341039. A list of the Members is open to inspection at our registered office at 3 Johnston Road, Woodford Green, Essex IG8 0XA. We use the word “partner” to refer to a member of Forbes Hall LLP.

We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Our SRA Number is 497580. The Solicitors Code of Conduct can be accessed at www.sra.org.uk/code-of-conduct.page .

Our VAT Registration Number is 432 3296 67. We have compulsory professional indemnity insurance. Details of the insurers and the territorial coverage of the policy are available for inspection at our offices.

About our Services

We are not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Because we are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, we are included on the register maintained by that Authority so are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services if they arise out of, or are incidental to, legal services we are engaged to provide.

We are not authorised by the Financial Services Authority. However, we are included on the register maintained by that Authority so that we can carry on insurance and mediation activities, which is broadly advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements or complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The register can be accessed by the Financial Services Authority website.

Complaints

Any client who is not satisfied with our handling of a complaint may be entitled to ask the Legal Ombudsman to investigate. The Ombudsman can be contacted on 0300 555 0333. A complaint must normally be made within six months from the date of the conclusion of our complaints procedure. If a complaint relates to a bill, a client may also be entitled to ask the court for the bill to be assessed under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974. If an application has been made to the court, the Legal Ombudsman may not be able to investigate a complaint about the bill.
